My
blog on the music of Hindi films that released between 1987 and 1989 contained
posts on four songs from Mr India (1987).
The
fifth track – the Parody Song – comprised parodies of earlier songs composed
by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, who composed the songs of the aforementioned film too.
These
were Pyar Mein Sauda Nahin, Chahoonga Main Tujhe Saanjh
Savere, Saawan Ka Mahina, Ek Pyar Ka Nagma Hai, Tere
Mere Beech Mein, Dafliwale, Mera Naam Hai Chameli, Khilona
Jaankar, Waada Tera Waada and Om Shanti Om.
Javed
Akhtar penned the song, which Anuradha Paudwal and Shabbir Kumar rendered.
